Meet Alaina + Michael!
Everything about their wedding day was an absolute dream, and it was so easy for us to celebrate their love! When we say that they are couple goals and wedding goals…. It is an understatement! Their elegant black and white details, their modern decor, and their classic white roses, baby’s breath, and florals is everything you you want to save to your Pinterest board! Everything about this day and this couple was perfect!
Here’s how they met — “We met while out with mutual friends at a bar in Uptown Dallas. We chatted for hours, but never ended up exchanging phone numbers. I don’t think either of us was brave enough to ask. A few weeks later we recognized each other and had matched on a dating app ' Bumble.' We've been a couple ever since ( 6 years!).” Love always finds a way!
How did Alaina know that Michael was the one?
“When Michael and I first met he was working for a company that had him take off on a pretty lengthy adrenaline junkie style roadtrip. Shortly after returning from the trip, he informed me that there was the potential that he may have an offer to move to Shanghai with this company and asked me if I would come with him. At the time, I had too much going on and told him there was no way I would ever be able to move at that juncture in my life but maybe we could do long distance. We had both agreed that this would be casual and just try to enjoy the summer together. A few weeks later the job offer was on the table, and much to my surprise Michael resigned from his position completely. He told me he just couldn't take the job knowing there was a possibility I would meet someone else while he was gone. He did it blindly without another opportunity lined up. I knew right then & there that we would end up together. He has always put me first in every single season of life.” How precious is that?!
It was a sure thing from the start! And so was their decision to use our venue for their special day — “From the moment that Michael and I toured Davis & Grey I knew this place was something special. We had toured several other venues and I had questioned whether I was being too hard on myself or too picky. I took a leap of faith and decided to go a little outside of our ideal travel time for guests, and I'm so glad I did. Not only is the structure itself beautiful, but Jill + Bear make you feel like you've known them forever. Everything here is perfect right down to the way it smells!”
We can tell you that we adored A + M just as much, and it was pure magic getting to be a part of their love story!
